Privacy Policy

Forge & Slay ("the App") is developed and maintained by Stanislav Rudukha ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it is used.

1. Data We Collect

• Account data — when you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive a unique user ID (UID), your email address, and your display name via Firebase Authentication. With Sign in with Apple you may choose to hide your email; in that case Apple provides a private relay address instead of your real one, and we store only what Apple shares with us.
• Quest and task data — your quests, subtasks, progress, and XP are stored locally on your device using Hive. This data never leaves your device unless you join a group (see below).
• Group / party data — if you create or join a group, your UID, display name, and assigned quests are stored in Google Firestore to enable collaboration with other group members.
• Purchase status — Forge & Slay offers a single optional in-app purchase (the "Full Game Unlock"). Payment is processed entirely by Apple; we never receive or store your payment-card details. We store only whether the unlock has been activated, so the feature stays available to you.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To identify your account across sessions via Google or Apple Sign-In.
• To sync group membership and quest assignments between group members.
• To send you local notifications on your device — for example, when a group member sends you a quest invite. These are generated on your device and can be turned off in your system settings.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or any other purpose, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

3. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore)
• Apple (Sign in with Apple, in-app purchases, and App Store distribution)

4. Data Retention

• Local Hive data is stored on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the App.
• Firebase Auth and Firestore data is retained until you delete your account (see Section 5) or contact us to request removal.

5. Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the Profile tab inside the App. Deleting your account permanently removes your Firebase Auth record and any associated Firestore group data. If you signed in with Apple, we also revoke your Sign in with Apple token so the App's access to your Apple ID is fully withdrawn. Local device data is cleared automatically.

6. Children's Privacy

Forge & Slay is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at the email below. You can also sign out of the App at any time from the Profile tab.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
